About Me
- Alma Irene Romero
- I am a teacher by profession, by conviction, by passion, by addiction. I became a teacher since 1982 in a small rural community of Mexico where resources were scarce. Working there was my first encounter with the real world, and it gave me the opportunity to witness and understand the hard, but simple life people had, especially children that were in dire need of the basic resources. It is at this time that I stumbled upon the issues and challenges of learning deficitis and discovered a new area of specialization: Special Education. Since then I have taught children with special needs in different grade levels, and backgrounds. I feel honored to be a part of Hollibrook team, and contribute with what I have learned throughout my life as an educator.
